In this week's episode he Powell men discuss the overt racism in hiring of Black coaches in the NFL. There were 8 head coaching vacancies and none were filled by overly qualified Black candidates. In a league where 75% of the players are African American there is only one Black head coach. The conversation shifts to the cyber bullying of former NBA star Dwayne Wade's transgender daughter Zaya Wade by former NBA player Kwame Brown. Lastly the guys discuss the recent rash of suicides by young Black men and women who seemingly had it all. Cheslie Krist is the most recent victim of suicide. There is a mental health crisis in this country that needs to be addressed. Is social media to blame? Find out in this episode of Powell to the People.
